Hanbury Road Chapel

Following the closure of Bargoed’s library, plans were made to convert a nearby Grade II* listed Baptist chapel into a new library and community hub.
Hurley & Davies were appointed to carry out a detailed fabric condition survey of the historic chapel and to develop a scope of works addressing identified defects. This adaptive reuse project not only preserves a significant heritage asset recognised by CADW but also revitalises it for modern community use. The transformation balances conservation with functionality, ensuring the building continues to serve the town in a meaningful way.
